"If the evidence of another crime, improper or act is relevant to indicate that the offense of which the appellant is accused actually occurr and is not introduced absolutely to prove bad character, it will not be excluded" the court said.
"The state asserts that it moveed evidence of [Alan] Cluck's prior crimes to indicate his knowledge, which was highly probative of his intent to use the erect items illegally," the Supreme Court.
A lower court had stoped the evidence as "tantamount to making Cluck appear in the courtroom in shackles or prison garb."
